SS: Sunday Saves (#12)

This weekend has flown in! So happy Sunday, it’s another one of my Sunday Saves, a weekly post I do on Sunday’s to highlight some of my favourite blog posts I’ve read over the week. If you’ve missed any of my other Sunday Saves, you can see them all right here! This week on my Sunday Saves, I’ll be talking about goals (again!), eyebrows and food guilt!

1. In Ella’s Element (July Goals)

Everyone knows I love a good goal and when it comes in a blog post, it’s even better. Everyone’s goals are different and even though I don’t relate completely to all of Ella’s goals, I do love that she wants to be more creative, try new foods and have a blogging schedule. I’m totally with her on the blogging schedule, I’m currently just trying to spruce up my blog in general but I think it’s a lovely idea to make a habit of trying something new out of your comfort zone (especially food!) Good luck with your goals this month Ella!

2. Miel and Mint (Benefit Ka-Brow! & Ready, Set, Brow! Review)

After hearing Benefit had revamped their brow products, I wondered if they still had the product I use. I’m not sure what it’s called but it’s in a duo, it has a wax and a brow powder with tweezers and two mini brushes. It’s great, I love it BUT I’m so close to finishing it. So I’ve been thinking “Do I go back to Benefit or do I try and find something similar somewhere else?” When it comes to eyebrows, it’s very important so I found this review by Nadia and she explains about the products she got, how she chose which ones she got, which was exactly what I was looking for. It really helped me so I think I’m going to go to a Benefit counter this week and see which one is right for me. So thank you Nadia!

3. My General Life (Ditch The Food Guilt)

Jordan posts about food guilt and I think this is something we all struggle with. I’m sure I’ve spoke about similar posts before but it’s always an important thing to talk about. Her post talks firstly about a podcast that I’m really interested in finding out about now. I’m really into podcasts and even though I only listen to about four or five podcasts, I’m always interested in finding  new ones. I like the angle that Jordan comes from with this, she’s saying that it’s not about choosing unhealthy or healthy foods, it’s about being healthful so choosing foods, good or bad, that will change your mindset as well as looking at the psychological impact too. She also talks about being vegan and the perceptions that has, particularly the view of “depriving yourself”. Her post covers so many bases so if you’re into looking at food from a different perspective, I’d really recommend you read her post.

That’s it for this week’s Sunday Saves! The whole post of these weekly posts is to help others discover bloggers they may not have heard of before and read into topics that might not have interested them at first, so I hope I’m continuing to do that.

Also, I’m a July advertiser on Bronagh’s blog, Bronagh’s Beauty and Books so make sure you go check her out too. She’s another Northern Irish blogger, just like me!
