Happy Sunday everyone! I’m back for another Sunday Saves this week and if you’re a regular reader on the blog, you’ll notice that I didn’t post a Sunday Saves last week. however, I did post something else so if you click here, you can see why I didn’t post a Sunday Saves. Thankfully this week I’m feeling much better and more motivated to write this post and other posts coming up.
As always, if you don’t know what my Sunday Saves are, they are three of my favourite blogs that I have discovered throughout the week. So I might have found a new one on the Sunday that I post this or it could have been posted two years ago and I’m only seeing it now. This week I’ll be talking mobile phones, tea and hobbies!
1) Lylia Rose (Stop complaining about people on mobile phones!)
I’m guilty of taking part in both sides of this! I’m guilty of being on my phone more than I should; although lately I have been a lot better at just setting my phone down and not looking at it for the silliest Facebook notifications or to refresh my social media for the tenth time that morning. I’m also guilty of judging someone who is on the phone, whether that’s not looking up at all at a bus stop or in a cafe. It’s only over the past year or so that I have discovered so many people use it when they feel uncomfortable and they want to distract themselves (I am one of these people!) So take the cafe for example, if you’re waiting on a friend, it’s much easier to sit on your phone if you have that overwhelming feeling that everyone is looking at you because you’re on your own (but this is never the case, no one actually cares but sometimes that’s just how you feel). I now don’t judge people for being on their phone because it could be a coping mechanism for them, you don’t know what’s going on in their head, you have to remember that.
2) Emily Under World (Teatourist: The Ultimate Tea Tasting Subscription)
For the next few months, I’m watching every penny because I want to see how much money I have left at the end of each month so another subscription is just not on the cards for me at the minute but that doesn’t mean I can’t love Emily’s post about a tea subscription box. I’ve heard more and more of these popping up and I can’t help but love it. I’m an avid tea drinker and there’s nothing better than waking up in the morning in the freezing cold and having your first morning cup of tea. According to Emily, the tea you receive isn’t just a few samples thrown in, they are from specialist artisan companies so you’re getting high quality specially chosen tea samples. However, if you’re not into tea (I don’t know how you couldn’t be!) it could be a perfect gift idea for someone too!
3) Nourish Me (10 Budget Friendly Hobbies to Start in 2017)
When we were younger, it was so easy to have lots of different hobbies, mainly because we didn’t have to pay for them ourselves but as we grow up, I tend to find our hobbies dwindle because almost everything costs money to pursue. When I get asked what hobbies I have, I normally say yoga and the gym because they are my two main investments into my life that I’m constantly progressing in. So if you’re looking for something to do that isn’t too expensive (depending on what route you go down), check out Stephanie’s post because I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised on how you can expand your hobbies or skill set.
Thanks for reading this week’s Sunday Saves! Remember to check out all the posts I’ve linked to and if you have any you think I would like, leave them in a comment below or tweet me over at @RetroSnowflake.
